At Dreamz Into Goals, we are committed to creating spaces that honor history, celebrate culture, and inspire communities. This February, we are excited to invite you to the Legacy & Unity: Black History Celebration, a vibrant outdoor festival in the heart of Downtown Long Beach that promises to uplift, educate, and connect us all.
This community-centered celebration offers a unique opportunity to honor the contributions and achievements of African Americans while fostering unity and understanding. With a dynamic mix of live entertainment, educational experiences, and family-friendly activities, this event is designed for everyone to enjoy.

Hosted by: DIG LIFE, Councilwoman Mary Zendejas, and Long Beach-Mombasa Sister Cities Association.

Educational Resource Booths
Learn about local African American pioneers like Ernest and Lillian McBride and explore the rich history of Black contributions to Long Beach and beyond. Dive into engaging exhibits and take home valuable resources.
Main Stage Performances
Enjoy live performances by talented musicians, poets, and dancers. Be inspired by keynote speakers and participate in an open mic hour where the community can share their stories, poems, and voices.
Cultural Exhibits

Access free health screenings, fitness sessions, and mental health support in partnership with DIG Health. This is a celebration of the whole self—mind, body, and spirit.
