What to Expect

This year’s Back 2 School event will serve 250 students from Signal Hill, Long Beach, and surrounding communities. Each student will receive a backpack filled with essential school supplies, and a select few will win brand-new bikes—promoting safe, independent transportation and physical activity.

Families attending can also take advantage of:

• Free health screenings provided through DIG HEALTH

• Free haircuts to help students feel fresh and confident for their first day back

• On-site sign-ups for tutoring, mentoring, and fall academic support

• Music, food, games, and family-friendly activities

• Basketball development and fun led by Hoops After Dark coaches
